Kilnwood Vale is an established housing development between Horsham and Crawley. The site has been built by Crest Nicholson under their ‘Garden Village Principles’.
We have maintained the communal landscaping for the past 4 years and have undertaken various projects to try and improve the presentation of different areas across the development. Our regular maintenance programme includes for the management of formal grass verges, ornamental planting beds, play areas, ditches, balancing ponds, mature hedgerows and wildflower meadows.
The ever-present site team are led by Blaide Brown, a relatively new Contract Manager who joined the Whiting’s team in February 2024. Blaide is really starting to leave his mark at Kilnwood Vale and has recently overseen improvement projects included the replanting of 50 trees, the clearing of all watercourses across site, and introducing a bulb planting initiative engaging the local community. This has gone down really well with the local residents, and it has been particularly pleasing to see their interest in the wildlife that has returned to the ponds!
Kilnwood Vale is a great example of how a joined-up approach between residents, the landscape contractor and the Managing Agent can work wonders for a site. The enthusiasm and engagement from all parties encourages significant improvements so all can enjoy the local environment and contribute to achieving the best possible results!
