We have for the last 12 months been carrying out the maintenance on the Bury Mount project which we installed over a nine month period. Camlin Lonsdale, who designed the town park have let us know that it has won the Museums & Heritage Award for Restoration/Conservation.
We at Whiting Landscape Ltd would like to congratulate all the team members in achieving this award. It is a culmination of all the hard work that has gone into the restoration of the Motte.
To quote Camlin Lonsdale “It demonstrates the judges understanding and appreciation of the role that successful public realm design can play in placing cultural heritage at the centre of modern community life. The Bury Mount project challenges the common misconception that achieving aspirational and transformational change is stifled when working with sensitive heritage assets.”… “and it showcases the capacity for sensitive and inventive landscape design as a powerful driver for regeneration.”
