Implementation of health and safety management systems to recognised standards have enabled Whitings to manage operations in a safe and efficient manner, thus ensuring the health, safety and well being of our employees and all those associated with our works.
Whitings work closely with a variety of organisations such as the Major Contractors Group, where recognised ‘skills schemes’ are adopted and allow site personnel to demonstrate their ability to work safely and competently. The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) also fall under the umbrella of such schemes.
Whitings are a member of The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and Worcestershire Health and Safety Group, and over recent years have successfully completed external audits by a range of organisations including Bovis Lend Lease and National Brittania Ltd, the latter conferring SAFE contractor status upon the company.
